Shipping Bag Selection by E-Commerce Sectors: Fashion, Cosmetics and Electronics
Genel Bilgi

E-commerce brands cannot use the same shipping bag in every product group. Product form, weight and customer expectations are different in the fashion, cosmetics and electronics sectors. Choosing the right bag; It directly affects the return rate, brand perception and shipping cost.

Fashion and Textile Posts

The main risk in clothing and accessory shipments is the product slipping and folding in the bag. The bag should not be chosen slightly larger than the product volume; Excessive white space both reduces visual quality and creates unnecessary tension on the film.

Size: 30×40 or 35×45 cm range is common for one-piece t-shirt; For a coat or shoe box, 40×50 cm and above is considered.

Micron: 40–50 microns are sufficient for light textiles. 50 micron may be preferred for angular or heavy parts.

Printing: Matte or semi-matte surface supports the premium perception of the brand logo. Inner black / outer white bags provide contrast at the moment of opening.

Cosmetics and Personal Care

Sealing and clean appearance are priorities in cosmetic products. Bottles, jars and set boxes rub against each other upon impact; Bag thickness and size should be planned accordingly.

Size: For single product shipments, the bag should be selected by measuring the volume of the product + filling material; Sufficient margin must be left for each piece in set packages.

Micron: 50 microns for glass or hard packaged products; 40 micron is suitable for light tube and sachet shipments.

Additional features: Bags with invoice pockets make it easy to carry the delivery note and return form in the same package. The printed pouch increases brand consistency.

Electronics and Accessories

Sharp corners and weight distribution are decisive in cables, headphones, power banks and small home appliances. Thin film may cause tearing and product damage during transportation.

Measurement: Leave a minimum margin of 2–3 cm according to the product box; The cable ends should not put pressure on the edge of the bag.

Micron: 50–60 microns should be considered for shipments with sharp edges or weighing over 500 g.

Protection: The bag, used with internal padding (air cushion, kraft) if necessary, should be considered as a transport layer, not packaging alone.

Summary

Fashion: narrow gauge, 40–50 μm, branding · Cosmetics: close gauge, 40–50 μm, option with receipt pocket · Electronics: reserved gauge, 50–60 μm, with inner padding.
